New Clan, New Opportunity
Since the demise of my first clan I was looking for new people to raid with. After I had the opportunity to do the Raid of TTK on the day it launched there is no way I would miss another Raid release. Read more
My Long and Winding Road back to Redemption in Destiny
After 11 months of playing Destiny and a lot of frustrations lately with Skolas I finally realized that I failed myself and my fellow Guardians and became corrupted by the Darkness.
Rev. ‘No Cheese’ Datto: “Do you see the Light, Do-you-see-the-Light”.
Me: “I, I, I see the light. I-see-the-Light. Let’s bring the True Fireteam together”

Destiny: The Taken King / Koenig der Bessessen
Even in the darkest time of my frustrations with Destiny, Skolas and the exclusive deals I knew that I would buy TTK. There is no other game that tickle my fancies, not Halo 5, not Quantum Breaks, not Gears of War (Remake), nothing. But I waited until August to actually buy my copies.
Now that the Hype Machine is gearing up here a my thoughts of an early adopter. Read more
What’s Wrong with Bungie
This week a shit storm came over us Destiny players as Luke Smith was saying that players would buy anything and players were outraged. I didn’t pay too much attention to it but when the news about the Red Bull Marketing campaign hit I was outraged. Read more
What’s Wrong with Destiny’s Skolas
I played everything in Destiny with the exception of Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders Skolas. For now I have no intention of doing ToO but Skolas is aggravating me and makes me want to stop playing Destiny altogether. By any means I am not Datto, Professor Broman or King Gathalion but an average player trying to have fun while playing.
Before I go on I want to emphasis that Bungie said multiple times that they are listening to complaints and so reduced the severity of Cerberus Vae III strike. They did something similar to Skolas but it did not accomplish the goal of make it manageable or fun to play. Keep in mind that I did Cerberus on a Nightfall before the nerf without any burns and could finish it.
Now what is wrong with Skolas or even with PoE?

Cheese in Destiny
Datto and others started to call certain hiding spots in Destiny cheese spots meaning that it safer but less exiting way to handle a fight. When Bungie released the first DLC called The Dark Below the word cheese started to morph into the description for exploiting a glitch in the system to change the mechanics of the game so that it is easier to handle. In the raid Crota’s End warlocks could use self-resurrection to pass the bridge without having a sword or to deal with sword bearer or using the host’s quitting of the Game to make Crota kneel “forever”.
Update: Later I say that DLC gear is not giving Radiant Shards / Energy when dismantled. That is not true for Raid Gear though but for any DLC gear (Lvl 36 for Armor) that is obtained otherwise.
In my book a cheese is the exploit of a glitch to change the game mechanics to make it easier and faster to beat. Read more
